I have been employed in the care sector for my entire career and for the past 18 years as Director of Care for St Martin’s Care Limited who provides the highest quality accommodation. I have a dedicated team who deliver the very best of care to all our residents. I believe in the quality of care and accommodation we provide and as such visit our homes regularly where I enjoy spending time talking and listening to staff, residents and families alike. All our staff members are fully trained and we promote training to NVQ levels for all members of staff.

I commenced working with St Martin’s Care in 1995 as carer and have progressed through the company’s training program to my present position as Assistant Director of Care. My role now includes supporting the home’s managers and introducing new developments within the care industry to all our homes. As with all others within the management team our main aims are to ensure that as a care company we ensure that we deliver an excellent level of care and accommodation to residents and their families at all times.

I have worked within the care industry for 22 years. I commenced employment with Durham/Darlington Social Service department in March 1990. I then commenced employment with St Martin’s Care in November 2003. As a Senior Manager in the company I am able to provide effective organisation and management of our homes, ensuring that high standard of care, social activities, and rehabilitation opportunities are obtained within the establishment appropriate to the individual needs of each person. I believe that by providing excellent customer services it can maximise customer satisfaction, therefore ensuring residents receive an excellent standard of care.
